For more than a decade, Chris Meadus has been a cornerstone of Bouchier’s Camp Maintenance team at Albian. His story is one of steady growth, dedication, and the drive to take every opportunity to learn and lead.

Chris started his journey with Bouchier on May 14, 2014, as a 2nd-year apprentice plumber at Horizon. Over the years, he completed his apprenticeship, earned his dual ticket as a Plumber/Gasfitter, and moved into leadership roles, first as Plumbing Foreman with Facility Maintenance, and now as General Foreman for Camp Maintenance at both Horizon and Albian.

Bouchier has supported Chris every step of the way by sponsoring his apprenticeship, reimbursing his tuition, and providing leadership training to prepare him for his supervisory role.

Like many who work away from home, Chris has faced the challenge of time apart from family. He credits both his family’s support and Bouchier’s flexibility in allowing time off for important life events as key to maintaining balance.

“Chris brings a balance of approachability and accountability to his role,” shared David Van Oosten, Site Manager. “He knows the day-to-day operations inside and out, builds strong connections with clients, and isn’t afraid to step in alongside his crew. With smaller team sizes, his willingness to support any task shows his commitment to both the work and his people.”

His advice for others looking to grow? “Take the leap if you have the opportunity. Bouchier will support and help you grow.”

From apprentice plumber to General Foreman, Chris’s career is a great example of how hard work and dedication when combined with the right support can open doors for growth and leadership at Bouchier.
