Cory Flood joined Bouchier as a labourer in 2019 and, two years later, began his apprenticeship in plumbing. Throughout his journey, Bouchier has supported his growth and development through an array of training opportunities, strong mentorship from leaders and coworkers, and flexible accommodations for schooling.
“Cory’s dedication and commitment to his craft have been evident throughout his journey,” says Jimmy LaPlante, Manager. “We are proud of his hard work.”
Cory’s journey doesn’t stop here – he is continuing to expand his expertise and is currently enrolled in the apprenticeship program for his Gas (Fitter) B ticket. This pursuit of further certification showcases his drive for continuous learning and excellence in his field. When asked what advice he would give others, he shares, “Opportunities will be aplenty as long as you are willing to take them and push forward.” This is not only a success for Cory, but also a testament to the effectiveness of the Grow Our Own initiative in developing skilled professionals within Bouchier.
Adding to his list of accomplishments, Cory also made the Dean’s List for the last two years while attending apprenticeship schooling—a reflection of his outstanding academic performance and dedication to his trade.
Congratulations, Cory, on this incredible achievement! Your hard work and perseverance serve as an inspiration to all of us at Bouchier. We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next.
