Kingsley Bankam’s story exemplifies continuous learning, dedication, and the pursuit of excellence. As a dedicated HSE Safety Advisor with the Logistics division for Bussing Transportation, Kingsley has experienced tremendous growth since joining Bouchier in 2023.
With 20 years of experience in the oil industry, including winter drilling rigs and various roles in Class 1 driving, Kingsley brought a wealth of knowledge to the table. As a matter of fact, with his growth mindset, since relocating to Fort McMurray in 2010, Kingsley has continued to advance in his career.
Kingsley joined Bouchier as an Equipment Operator in 2023. While he completed his National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation in 2017, he required industry experience in safety roles to be able to pursue this career. His determination, eagerness to learn, and clear passion for safety drove him to apply for the HSE Advisor role with Bouchier in 2024.
“Kingsley has gained valuable insight into how HSE leadership and operations work together, allowing him to see the bigger picture. He has also received invaluable guidance on managing people, correcting behaviors, and effectively communicating with different team members,” says Michael Wicks, HSE Manager for CNRL. “He is a great addition to the team, particularly with his positive approach to doing safety differently.”
Kingsley’s Why
When asked why he wanted to take on the HSE Safety Advisor role, Kingsley responded with a heartfelt mission. “My goal is to share my experience and knowledge to protect others, ensuring they stay safe and avoid harm.”

His journey is filled with lessons that can inspire others. Kingsley emphasizes the importance of patience, speaking out and speaking up, continuous learning, and seizing every opportunity. “If it’s a challenge, it’s okay to get help,” he advises.
