Anniken Richard’s journey at Bouchier is a testament to passion, perseverance, and the power of continuous learning in leadership. Since joining in 2014 as a Maintenance Administrator, she has steadily advanced through key roles—Planner, Coordinator, Asset Analyst, and Maintenance Manager. Today, she serves as Director, Asset Management, overseeing critical operations with a keen focus on efficiency and innovation.

Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Anniken relocated to Fort McMurray 13 years ago. Alongside her fiancée Dan and their children, Ruby and Beau, she has embraced life in the region while staying closely connected to family in Saskatchewan.

Bouchier has played a pivotal role in Anniken’s professional development. She has completed the SAIT Community Economic Development Program, the NAIT Leadership Development Program, and earned her Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). Committed to lifelong learning, she is currently pursuing her Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate and enrolled in Franklin Covey Leadership Certification—expanding her expertise in both data-driven decision-making and leadership.

Mentorship from Bouchier’s female leadership has been invaluable, inspiring her to recognize and amplify the strong voice women bring to the industry. Balancing career and family required careful planning, overcoming self-limiting beliefs, and building a strong support network. With dedication and resilience, she and her family have created a path that allows them to thrive both professionally and personally.

Anniken’s advice to colleagues is simple yet powerful: “You CAN do hard things.” She encourages an open mind, hard work, and confidence in one’s unique abilities. Her journey is proof that with determination, support, and a commitment to growth, success is always within reach.
